🌽 ACF Pikes Peak Chapter Farm-to-Table Field Trip

Saturday, August 8

Join us for a full day celebrating Pueblo's rich agricultural heritage, local food producers, and culinary traditions. We'll spend the day meeting the people behind some of Southern Colorado's best food while gathering ingredients that we'll prepare together for lunch.

📍 7:00 a.m.

Meet at Musso Farms

We'll kick off the day with a discussion about Pueblo agriculture, local farming, and seasonal produce while shopping the farm stand for fresh ingredients. Musso Farms is one of Pueblo's premier family farms and a perfect place to begin our farm-to-table adventure.

Millberger Farms at Peppe's
Milberger Farms

We'll enjoy breakfast together at Peppe's Restaurant before exploring the farm market to purchase additional local ingredients for our lunch.

🌭 Then On To

Gagliano's Sausage Company
Gagliano's Sausage Co. & Sangwiches

Vince Gagliano will welcome us with a behind-the-scenes tour of the family's USDA-inspected sausage production facility on Northern Avenue, sharing the history and craftsmanship that have made Gagliano's a Pueblo tradition.

Gagliano's Italian Market

After the facility tour, we'll visit the historic Italian market on Elm Street to shop for authentic Italian specialties and locally made products to round out our lunch menu.

👨‍🍳 Final Stop

SRDA Nutrition Center

We'll return to the SRDA kitchen where everyone will roll up their sleeves and prepare a collaborative farm-to-table lunch using the fresh ingredients we've gathered throughout the day. This is a great opportunity to share techniques, ideas, and enjoy a meal that truly showcases Pueblo's incredible agricultural community.

This promises to be an outstanding day of education, networking, local food, and great company. We hope you'll join us!
